Plastic grocery bags contribute to an ever-increasing amount of garbage dumped into landfills every day. Rainbow would like to join the movement to encourage people to use environment-friendly cloth bags, baskets and bins.
At Rainbow we feel that we have a responsibility to take a step in the right direction. That is why, from January 1st 2008, we will be charging 5 cents a bag for all plastic grocery bags.
What do we do with the 5 cents? We give you a button to donate.
The button, worth 5 cents, gives you the power to donate to any one of three charities as outlined on the donation boxes beside the cash. Each month the donation boxes will be emptied and the equivalent cash sent to the designated charity.
It's a win-win situation. Please help us make a difference. ----------- Rainbow Natural Foods is a proud member of the Health First Network.
